Supporting aviation projects involving foreign-registered or foreign-certified aircraft often requires additional engineering and certification documentation beyond existing FAA approvals. ACES supports these projects by preparing the engineering data, testing documentation, compliance information, and certification packages needed for international review. Drawing on its engineering, testing, certification, and DER capabilities, the ACES team helps customers develop comprehensive technical packages while making effective use of certification work already completed in the United States. Completed packages are then provided to the customer’s designated third party for submission and direct coordination with the appropriate foreign authority.
International Certification
For aircraft, modifications, components, and other aviation products requiring approval or validation for operation or installation in Canada, ACES can prepare the engineering and certification package needed to support Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) requirements.
ACES combines certification experience with engineering, testing, compliance documentation, and DER support to develop the technical data and supporting materials required for the applicable certification package.
Once the package is complete, the customer's designated third party is responsible for submitting the documentation to TCCA and managing direct coordination with the foreign authority. ACES remains available to provide technical support and address engineering or documentation needs that may arise during the review process.
Projects requiring European approval or validation may require additional engineering data and documentation to demonstrate compliance with applicable European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements. ACES can prepare the technical and certification package needed to support that process.
Engineering data, testing information, compliance documentation, and other supporting materials can be developed and organized by ACES to provide the customer's designated representative with a complete package for submission.
Direct submission to EASA and coordination with the foreign authority are handled by the customer's designated third party. ACES supports the technical side of the process by responding to engineering or documentation needs associated with the certification package while helping maintain continuity with work already completed for the project.
