The Smoke Density test is used to determine smoke emission rates of cabin materials to show compliance with the requirements of 14 CFR § 25.853(d) when test specimens are exposed to an open flame and radiant heat.

Additionally, ACES offers Boeing Safety Standard (BSS) 7239, or Toxicity Testing, to measure the flame smoke toxicity of plastics, composites, textiles, and coatings.
