60° Wire / Cable Insulation

The 60° Angle test evaluates the flame resistance of electrical wire insulation when exposed to an open flame for 30 seconds to show compliance with the requirements of 14 CFR §§ 23.1359(c), 25.869, 25.1713(c), 27.1365(b), 27.1365(c), & 29.1359(c).

Components that require 60 Degree testing:

  • Fuselage Electrical Wire

  • Fuselage Cable
